Our story of designing and manufacturing HVAC Solutions started from a locomotive driver’s need for better working conditions. 30 years and thousands of delivered HVAC systems later we have a strong position as a railway HVAC Specialist.

Locomotive

1992 Lumikko enters the railway market with a solution to improve working conditions for locomotive drivers by designing a special HVAC unit. Since that we have delivered more than 1000 HVAC units to diesel and electric locomotives that run in Nordic extreme conditions.

Passenger cars

Since the beginning of 00s Lumikko has designed and delivered tailored HVAC systems for passenger cars to improve travelling and working comfort and offering cleaner air to breathe.

Trams

Each tram in Finland is covered with Lumikko’s compact and efficient HVAC solution. We have delivered nearly 800 tram HVAC products including drivers and passengers units.
