Regenerative braking system
The regenerative braking energy recovery system can be integrated into our HVAC solutions.
“The regenerative braking energy recovery system is used in, among other places, trams in Tampere. According to calculations, one tram in Tampere uses approximately 120,000 kWh of energy for heating each year. Around 74,000 kWh of braking energy is generated annually. This suggests that the braking energy produced by a single tram could be used to heat an average of four large electric-heated houses for a year,” says Ville Saikkonen, Lumikko’s Technology and Product Development Director.
